The sensor cover that was suppose to stay on for awhile, like 7-14 days. Fell off my arm and took the sensor with it. While I was on vacation, it said it would be water proof , I made sure I wasn't in more than 3ft of water for 30min intervals. I was very self concious that it would fall off. And it did. The sample from your company failed me. I followed the video for applying the cover also had someone help me put it on, it's hard for me due to my neck back issues. I also put skin prep on before appying , I do this when I apply my Libre 2 sensor. I have dry skin, also I sweat when I work out or do gardening, and the sensor would come off way before I needed to change it. . I've had DM2 for over 20 yrs and on insulin since 2012. I'm 60 yrs old, with dry skin . I think the waterproofing needs improvement, the adhesive is't strong enough.
Thank you for having samples that did help me out, I wish you can send me another type thats better for ppl like me. I hope this helps. Thanks Ms. Pacovsky
These aren't as fancy as many on the market. These are plain translucent tape with no fancy designs. The samples arrive with no instructions (although they aren't hard to figure out) and no ordering information (I guess Lexcam assumes you remember where you ordered the samples). I found them a little awkward to apply since you are applying them one-handed and possibly in a location you can't see (if you wear your CGM on the back of your upper arm). Of the three samples, one didn't seem to stick all the way around, but it still worked surprisingly well. I've only been using the Libre3 CGM for 3½ months. I've gone through 15 sensors - only four of which lasted the full two weeks. But since I started using the Lexcam patches both sensors lasted the full two weeks with no problems. That was enough to convince me -- these things work. I am much more confident that the sensor won't come loose or fall off now.
Worked well
The first sample worked very well for the entire ten days. The second patch didn’t stick to the skin as well and rolled up on itself. The sensor came off on the 3rd day.
I got 2 trial over patches and I couldn't even get on my skin. The adhesive just stuck to itself and became unusable. It didn't come with any directions.
